Olive oil has been used for centuries as a beauty and cleansing agent, and is known to delay skin aging due to high contents of vitamin E and Oleic acid.

It is gentle and kind to skin, and is suitable for babies as well as adults.

    About our Olive Oil Soap
Our olive oil soaps are handmade in Antakya by a small family run business that we work with. Every Autumn, olives and bay laurel berries are harvested locally, then the cold-pressed olives are heated and saponified, and then the pure essential oils, such as bay oil, rose oil, wild pistachio oil and lavender oils are added when the olive oil has been saponified. Each mixture is then poured into large wooden frames, and allowed to set. After the mixture has set, the soap is then cut into smaller blocks and then left to age. When the soap is ready, it is then hand cut into smaller blocks, ready for delivery to us.

All our soaps are made using only pure ingredients, contain no artificial colouring, are vegan, not tested on animals, and contain none of the harsh chemicals found in most commercially made soaps. Olive oil soaps have been used for centuries and have many known beneficial properties.

Seven good reasons to use olive oil soap:

1: Perfect skin moisturiser- Commercial soaps can dry out skin with their high pH levels and oil-stripping chemicals. Olive oil soap preserves your skin sebum and your skins natural oils, keeping your skin deeply moisturised.

2: Antioxidant properties- Olive oil soap is rich in antioxidants, and vitamins A and E, which both fight and repair the damage caused by free radicals that damage and age skin.

3: Anti-inflammatory properties- Olive oil soap is a natural anti-inflammatory, and helps heal skin abrasions, rashes and even sunburn.

4: Relieves eczema and psoriasis- Olive oil soap is known to provide relief to skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

5: Helps with acne- Olive oil soap is non greasy so will not clog skin pores. The oils will penetrate deeply, moisturising and cleansing the skin.

6: Hypoallergenic- Olive oil soap is hypoallergenic, and is far less likely to irritate sensitive skin, unlike commercially produced soaps which contain known skin irritants such as sodium laurel sulphate. Olive oil soap is gentle enough for use on babies and infants.

7: Perfect for hair- As with your skin, olive oil soap helps maintain moisture, protecting the keratin in your hair whilst washing away dirt and grime, reducing or even eliminating dandruff.
